Marketing Communications Strategist
I find the story worth telling, shape how it's told and build the strategy that helps it travel.
I have always been interested in what makes people care.
That instinct has followed me through eight+ years in marketing and communications, from media and advertising to luxury fashion, beauty and technology. I have built campaigns, shaped positioning, led communications and PR, grown communities and helped brands work out what is actually worth saying.
My approach moves between the big picture and the details that make it real: finding the idea at the heart of a brand, working out how to position it, and carrying it through campaigns, content and the way people experience it.
Luxury beauty sharpened the same instinct at the closest possible distance: the customer. Working across Valentino Beauty and activations for Prada, Mugler, Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty and others taught me what happens when positioning meets an actual customer, what makes them stop, try, ask, trust and buy.
That is the thread through my work: find what is true, find the clearest way to say it, and build the strategy that helps it travel.

An Instinct for
the Unexpected.
My experience in luxury beauty has put me on the other side of brand strategy: where the campaign, product, packaging and promise meet a real person in real time. As a Beauty Activator for Valentino Beauty and through brand activations for Prada, Mugler, Fenty Beauty, Huda Beauty, Natasha Denona, Isamaya and Simihaze across Selfridges and Harrods, I have represented global beauty brands translating their worlds into conversations, product discovery and demonstrations. It has made me a sharper marketer. I see the gap between the message a brand puts into market and the language customers actually respond to. I hear the objections, notice the rituals, understand the purchase triggers and watch loyalty being built one interaction at a time.

My research looked at a question I had already begun asking in practice; how storytelling across cultures can be effective in marketing campaigns within the fintech industry and how a brand can grow across markets without losing the cultural specificity that makes people connect with it? I examined how emerging fintech companies balance global scale with local relevance across African and Western markets.

A conversation about professional philosophy, voice and what it means to build infrastructure for African creative brands. I spoke with Lhaude Africa about my work, the way I think about brand building, and why visibility alone is not enough. For me, the more interesting question is what happens after a brand is seen: how it is positioned, understood and equipped to hold its own in a wider market.
